Learning the technique
University Masters may be at first or second level.
First-level Masters require at least a first-level degree; second-level Masters require exclusively a specialist (or master’s) degree or old-system degree.
Andrology is gaining ever greater importance due to rising demand for services and new medical/surgical therapies. The Master’s objective is to equip students with skills for a modern, comprehensive approach to patients with sexual/reproductive dysfunctions, while fostering knowledge of diagnostic/therapeutic options—especially surgical techniques.

Tutor Proposal – N.A.S.A. Training Project – National Academy in Surgical Andrology – 2015/2016 Academic Year
Dr. Antonini is responsible for the second consecutive year at Rome’s Policlinico Umberto I for the Itinerant Course in Andrological Surgery NASA
National Academy in Surgical Andrology Memorial Edoardo Austoni
This educational project is dedicated to the memory of Prof. Edoardo Austoni who, during his two-year SIA presidency, conceived and realised the European Itinerant School in Andrology. That pioneering experience trained many young andrologists who, over 10 years later, now form a significant part of our Society’s surgical component.
NASA, in its second edition this year, aims to offer younger Members the opportunity actively to visit some of Italy’s leading Andrological Surgery Centres.
The format involves 22 host sites across 6 national geographical areas. Each area will host monthly, for 2 consecutive days, a different group of 2/3 trainees, providing genuine surgical “full immersion”. Participants, divided into 6 groups of 2/3, will visit a different geographical area each month, hands-on participating in surgical activities.
At course end, participants will have appreciated similarities/differences among visited sites and, equally important, personally met many experienced Colleagues for future professional collaborations.
