Intensive training in penile prosthesis implantation at Antonini Urology in Rome, featuring four Rigicon three-piece inflatable implants via the infrapubic approach with Saudi colleagues.
A new intensive course in penile prosthetic implantology took place in Rome, at the functional urology center Antonini Urology, which saw the participation of two young and brilliant urologists from Saudi Arabia: Dr. Basel Hakami and Dr. Ahmad Al Mohan.
Under the guidance of Dr. Gabriele Antonini, four Rigicon three-component hydraulic penile prosthesis implants were performed, using the infrapubic technique now widely standardized in the center of Rome.
The guests enthusiastically attended the operation, surprising themselves with the speed of the procedure – around 15 minutes for each implant – and with the excellent aesthetic result, thanks to a technique which involves a small incision at the level of the pubic bone, with the perfect invisibility of the pump and tubes inside the scrotum.
The course confirmed the value of the infrapubic technique in the management of erectile dysfunction, and strengthened the growing collaboration between Antonini Urology and the Saudi and Middle Eastern medical world, with continuous training exchanges.
Dr. Antonini today confirms himself as one of the leading international experts in functional male surgery, contributing to the spread of innovative techniques throughout the Middle East.
