The Casa di Cura Quisisana in Rome hosted an important international advanced training event dedicated to penile prosthetic surgery. The Antonini Center welcomed three specialists from Turkey and the American urologist Dr. Joseph Balbona, for a day of highly specialized training focused on the implantation of three-component hydraulic penile prostheses.

During the surgical session, seven hydraulic penile prosthesis implants were performed in patients suffering from severe and complex erectile dysfunction. The procedures once again highlighted the very high level of expertise achieved by the Antonini Center team, with extraordinarily short surgical times: in some cases the implant was completed in just 15 minutes, maintaining absolutely excellent standards of safety, precision and quality.

Particularly relevant were four complex cases of Peyronie’s Disease, successfully addressed and corrected using the “scratch” technique, a method codified by Professor Paul Perito and today considered one of the most effective strategies for the correction of penile curvatures associated with the prosthetic implant. The results obtained demonstrated an excellent restoration of the anatomy, sexual function and aesthetics of the penis.
The event represented an important moment of international scientific comparison, confirming Rome as a European reference point for functional andrological surgery and penile prosthetic surgery.
Professor Antonini confirms himself as one of the world’s leading experts in the field of penile prosthesis implantation and today represents an absolute reference in Italy for the number of procedures, technical innovation and international training. In particular, the Antonini Center is recognized for its consolidated experience in the implantation of three-component hydraulic penile prostheses via infrapubic access, a highly specialized technique that allows surgical speed, minimal invasiveness and excellent functional results.

The presence of international specialists who choose Rome to perfect their skills testifies to the prestige achieved by the Antonini Center and the increasingly central role that the structure plays in the global panorama of penile prosthetic surgery.

Once again, Italian excellence proves to be a protagonist on the international scene, offering patients the most advanced technologies and the best skills available in the field of reconstructive and prosthetic andrological surgery
